It's incredible what we consider poetry/art these days on the web.
By the end of the lecture this week, I was left with one question: what's stopping me and a bunch of friends from getting high and screaming adjectives into a microphone? This thought came to me just after listening to the "ABC's" example. The internet has allowed way for a movement of "fake art". In this modern age, we're all artists and the internet is our audience. Thousands of bands are aware of this, and their myspace accounts are forwarded to my inbox constantly.
Who are the real poets in this digital age? Is it those combining HTML with intriguing, yet confusing, copy, or is it a rapper who gives his/her tracks for free over the web?
These are just my thoughts.
